London!

11/02/07

Hi, hi, hi, hi, hi!!!!Twenty years later…I’m going to write again. Now I’m sat on a chair in 612 room in Cromwell Road 202…would you like to be here feeling what I’m feeling…??I’m sure the answer would be…”Oh yeah guy…of course!!
Today I’m happy. I’ve walked on “The city” floor and it’s so incredible! Can it change my life? It’d be possible..London is just the best city in Europe(I’ve not seen Paris yet but…) You walk, you see around you, you smell and you feel London it’s different. All in London is “glamour”. Now it’s raining, along the day has rained but the rain in London it’s not an inconvenient so I think it’s nice,

I’ve not visited many important places but I’m not worried so I know I’ll come back a lot of times again.
You know, I dream since I get up till I’m going to sleep so…how it would be to set up a bussines here and living in my own home at London?? I’ve not words to describe it…

Be sure that I would stay here a lot of weeks….
I’ve not more words to describe my feelings about London, just look through the photographs what is London…

PD: I know my english it can be similar at first writing in blog, neverthless, I hope to incorporate the most difficult grammar learning English (phrasal verbs) in the nexts writings…

24th January 2007

24th January 2007

Now I’m in Starbucks at Brighton. I’m trying to connect to Internet but it’s not possible. I would have to get T-Mobile connection and pay 30 euros/month. I don’t know if it’s convenient or not, I’m thinking about this possibility…

Today I woke up early, at 8 AM…it’s early for me…J but classes not started till 9 o’clock. People in my level have a high english level so I’ve to start to get good level…
What was the surprise when I woke up this morning? I saw trough the window and all was snowed..!! It was a great surprise…! Above I’ve hang some photos about this…

If you read taking more attention than usually you will see that I use a lot of times the verb “to get”. Today I’ve learnt the “get” importance… I’m going to a diet and I don’t want, it’s a forced diet!!!!!! I’m eating bad and not healthy food…I think I won’t eat meat till I arrive to Spain or, in the best of cases, when mum and Patxi come to London…

I think I’m including new expressions in my texts that before I had never used….My writing and oral comprehension level it’s going up and my speaking it’s also going up but moderately…To speak is much more difficult to me, but I’m trying to do it…

I’m writing this in Starbucks and I’m feel good doing this…It’s a cosmopolitan moment…isn’t it??(Today I’ve learnt tag questions too…J)

The time in Lewes pass very slowly, we’ve a lot of free times and you’ve to search something to do…it’s better than to do nothing…Sometimes I write, sometimes I listen to music and sometimes I think about my future business…It’s a joke…Few minutes ago in Brighton we’ve seen one of the bigger Carhartt, Rip Curl, Etnies…. store I had never seen before…Is it a good idea to propose in Barcelona…? I think the demand (noun I’ve learnt at business class…) will up in Barcelona in the next years and the supply (another noun learnt in business class…) it’s not enough…

Now I’m alone in Starbucks because Ana is looking for something in H&M next to where I am.

When Ana arrives we’ll go to walk a little bit to Brighton streets…I don’t know where we’ll take dinner today…will we take it today...? jeje it’s a joke…

When I’ll be at residence I’ll collocate this on the blog but today I’ve not much more photographs…

If you find some important mistake or mistakes please tell me…

See you tomorrow….!!

22th January

Today I’ve been in the collage where I’m going to do my English lessons. First I’ve done the test level and it was quite difficult overcoat the reading…Anthony is the director of the study class and who has given us the exam, and then has came Mark Allen the manager of College who has explained us all about the college and he has said us where could find all the buildings and our classes. Both have been very nice with us.

When I’ve finished my exam Anthony said me that I had to stay at 2:30 in the same class to do the timetable and to know the level.

After, we’ve gone to buy something. We wanted to go to TESCO supermarket wich is the nearest from the residence but obviously we’ve lost and we’ve found another supermarket where we’ve bought some typical english sandwiches and something to clean our kitchen that it smell very bad…we don’t know why it happens, Gary, the residence manager, has told us that it’s possible that the problem is the rubbish that it’s there from a few days ago…….(I’ve came back from the kitchen and we’ve cleaned it with a clean set that we bought in the supermarket, I think it will be enough…)

I’ve eaten my firsts sandwiches in England, those were good…Then we’ve came back to the residence and after I’ve gone to town centre to visit it. A person has said me that there is a bank called “Abbey” that is connected with Santander, I have a doubt, have I to open a count bank hear? I don’t know where the Barclays Bank is yet…I will try to find it…if I don’t find Barclays it’s possible that I open a count in Abbey bank…I would tell you if I do this…

I’ve seen the castle from far but this week I will try to visit better…But a person from Lewes told me that it’s not a big thing…

I want to know which the residence address exactly is and then you have to say it to grandfather and say him that send me a lot of letters, here we’ve a lot of free time…

Oh, I forgot to say that at 2:30 we’ve gone to see Mark Allen and has told us our level, I’m going to Orange level( before the last one). In June I’m going to do the First Certificate hear, if I pass the exam it will be a completed objective…

Ok, see you tomorrow if it’s possible,

See you

Una foto de ayer del tren "from Lewes to Brighton"

Ya estoy en Lewessss!!!!

Holaaaa!!

Hoy es lunes 22 de enero y ya llevamos un fin de semana en Lewes. Os pongo un texto que hice ayer en inglés explicando el primer fin de semana!!Sé que habrán faltas!!

The first weekend in Lewes

I want to try to explain my first weekend in England, country that I had never been before. I’ve been only two days but I’ve learned why England is England, and why the english people are like they are(¿Is this expression correct?)

I took the plane from El Prat to Gatwick airport. The flight was perfect, not wind, not rain and sun was waiting us. I know it’s not the normal weather in England, but then I could feel the real weather…
Gatwick doesn’t seems a big airport I think it’s a secondary airport in London. We waited our luggage and immediately we caught it. We hadn’t any problems with this…I thought in the plane: “luggage will not arrive…”

We went out and met the taxi driver that drove from Gatwick to Lewes. I asked him how they say the name Lewes and told me something like: “Li-uis”. But then I’ve listened other pronunciations…

I arrived to Lewes and to the Caburn house residence. It was approximately 4:30 PM…the sun started to fall down…and it was cold.

Two boys opened the residence and gave me the room key and some rutinary rules. My first room impression was bad, very bad. It was, and it is, a little room and it was a little bit “sucia”..

Then Ana and me went to the nearest supermarket…we asked to a woman in a car where we could find a supermarket and we went with her in the car. The supermarket is similar to Spanish supermarkets and I think I will find something that grandfather loves….:)
When we decided to come back to the residence the woman had disappeard and we walked to the residence when suddenly started to rain…

My first dinner in England was to forget…I don’t’want to believe that English food is always like that…
Later I went to sleep but it was very cold because I only slept with sheets and the radiator not works…

Today has been different. It has been a sunny day. We’ve decided to take a train and go to visit Brighton. I enjoyed a lot in Brighton this morning. It’s a beautiful city with the Atlantic Ocean. I felt that Brighton was a big city completely different to Lewes. There were a lot of shops, restaurants and all the services that you can find in a big city. I will try to visit Brighton another day because, I repeat, it’s a city you have to visit if you are here. I’ve bought in Brighton a duvet and pillow set. I think this set will be enough…

I’ve explained my two firsts days at Lewes. I know it’s possible that I’ve done many mistakes writing the text…those will be repaired in a future…

See you…!!
